Megan Charlton joined the COPE Health Solutions team as a Program Manager of the Health Scholars programs in April 2016. In this role, she focused on the implementation, development, and management of the COPE Health Scholar programs at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett. Ms. Charlton began with COPE Health Solutions through her two and a half years of experience as a Health Scholar at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in Newport Beach, California and one year as a Health Scholar at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. Ms. Charlton provided support at both hospital sites through her involvement with the Leadership Team as a Project Coordinator, Recruitment and Training Coordinator, and later on the Executive Team as the Director of Recruitment and Training.

Prior to joining COPE Health Solutions, Ms. Charlton was a Medical Receptionist with Evergreen Health Primary Care where she supported the clinic by checking in patients, scheduling appointments, and conducting a variety of administrative tasks.

Ms. Charlton graduated from University of Washington, Bothell with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. During her time at UW Bothell, she participated in research studying the hormones involved in zebra finch social behavior. Ms. Charlton also acted as a mentor to incoming freshman aspiring to become physicians through the Pre-Medical Mentorship Program. She helped these students develop class timelines, find valuable volunteer and shadowing opportunities in the community, and understand the process of applying to medical school. Ms. Charlton aspires to become a physician leader with the goal of contributing to medical research and giving back to the medical community through teaching in academic medicine.
