Shelby Geremia

Program Coordinator

Shelby Geremia joined COPE Health Solutions as a Program Coordinator in May 2022. Ms. Geremia was raised in Mendocino County and brings her knowledge of the community to assist in growing the Health Scholar and Medical Assistant Programs in the Mendocino region. She is passionate about helping her community members gain access to higher education and employment opportunities.

Prior to joining COPE Health Solutions, Ms. Geremia worked for Adventist Health Mendocino County. There, she gained experience being in a leadership role. She assisted with the implementation of a brand new phone system and call center as well as managed the Substance Use and Disorder program. Ms. Geremia also helped guide her coworkers through the pandemic. She initiated “spirit days” to boost morale and organized patient access week and the correlating events.

Ms. Geremia currently holds an associate’s degree in Allied Health and is attending Southern New Hampshire University where she is completing her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Administration. During her undergrad, Ms. Geremia has put a focus on mental health and rural communities. She has participated in volunteer work not only at the local human society but also with the Crisis Text Line. She aspires to continue her studies in graduate school and to give back to her community.
