Van Hoo is a Director with COPE Health Solutions. He has over 10 years of leadership experience in the health care industry with a primary focus on providing project management office (PMO) services for complex organizations. Prior to joining COPE Health Solutions, Mr. Hoo helped the CEO and COO of an early stage startup launch its iOS product to market through agile program management across operations, finance, marketing, and engineering divisions. He is an experienced management consultant, problems solver, and trusted advisor to executives from large health systems, federal and state government and Fortune 500 companies. During his time at McKesson, Mr. Hoo helped hospitals nationwide implement analytics systems that aggregated and transformed clinical, financial and operational data into actionable information. At Booz Allen Hamilton, Mr. Hoo helped the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and its grantees centralize and improve distribution for the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program, a federally funded program that provides vaccines at no cost to children who might not otherwise be vaccinated because of inability to pay.

Mr. Hoo excels at breaking down complex IT and non-IT project management challenges within ambiguous environments and managing stakeholders to achieve goals on-time and on-budget. He brings a common-sense approach to keep his teams on task and uses frequent, transparent communications to help them succeed.

Mr. Hoo was born and raised in New York City. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Emory University and a Master of Public in Health Policy and Management from the Emory University Rollins School of Public Health. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute.
