Carmen Barron

Community Health Worker

Carmen Barron joined COPE Health Solutions in October 2025 and is currently a Community Health Worker. In this position, Ms. Barron is committed to improving the health outcomes of ECM members by providing culturally responsive education and helping connect individuals with the healthcare resources they need. Her work centers on building trust and strong relationships with members and their families to promote wellness and reduce health disparities within the community.

Before joining COPE Health Solutions, Ms. Barron worked with a nonprofit organization supporting families navigating pediatric cancer. In this role, she provided both emotional and practical assistance, coordinated transportation services, facilitated access to financial resources, and advocated for families’ needs and rights within healthcare and community systems. This experience strengthened her communication skills and deepened her understanding of cancer-related medical terminology,

Prior to that, she served as a medical receptionist in a family clinic, where she further expanded her knowledge of medical practices and the broader healthcare system.

Ms. Barron earned her bachelor’s  degree in Collaborative Health and Human Services with an interdisciplinary concentration in Social Work and Public Health from California State University, Monterey Bay.
