Dr. Uma Shankar Rangaswamy currently serves as the Global Delivery Head for Healthcare & Life Sciences Industry vertical at LTIMindtree and is based out of Hyderabad, India. With over 3 decades of IT expertise, Dr. Rangaswamy is a technocrat known for driving growth through strategic program management, solution definition, and effective leadership in large IT program execution. He has executed several large IT engagements across several Fortune 500 customers delivering business value worth several million dollars through innovative solutions. His multifaceted skills span Healthcare, Life Sciences, Telecom and Financial Services domains.
In his current role at LTIMindtree, Dr. Rangaswamy oversees the global delivery of Healthcare and Life sciences engagements, catering to diverse sectors such as Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices, Payers, Providers, and more. Prior to this, he held the position of VP & Head of Connected Lifestyle Division at Harman Connected Services, where he led initiatives in Healthcare, Travel, Hospitality, Retail, Gaming, and Market research.
With a proven track record, Dr. Rangaswamy previously served as the Vice President & SBU Head for Healthcare at Cognizant Technology Solutions, contributing to substantial revenue growth and successful management of large teams. His leadership at Tata Consultancy Services involved pivotal roles in IT, Enterprise, and Provisioning Systems, demonstrating adeptness in project management and strategic development.
Dr. Rangaswamy holds a PhD from the Indian Institute of Management (Kashipur), India, an MBA from the University of Liverpool, UK and a bachelor’s in computer science & engineering from the National Engineering College, India. His publications across reputed journals reflect his keen insights into business strategy, adaptive capability, and the impact of Industry 4.0 disruption.
