Cheyenne Dickerson

Cheyenne Dickerson, MS, MPH joined COPE Health Solutions in September 2024 as a Community Health Worker. As a Community Health Worker, Ms. Dickerson guides community members facing barriers that may prevent them from accessing health care services. In this role, Ms. Dickerson collaborates with a full team of health service providers to ensure members have access to all health-related services.

Prior to joining COPE Health Solutions, Ms. Dickerson worked as an In-Home counselor, providing counseling and resources to families experiencing conflicts due to open DCSF cases. Ms. Dickerson also has experience working with children, as she has worked as an after-school coach, and a high school special education teacher assistant.

Ms. Dickerson obtained her Master of Science degree in Biomedical Science from Charles R. Drew University, where she focused on social determinants of health and health inequities. Ms. Dickerson wrote her master’s thesis on fetal programming and the effects of high fat diets during gestation which can result in lifelong obesity in the offspring. Ms. Dickerson then went on to obtain her second Masters of Public Health Degree from Charles R. Drew University. During this time, Ms. Dickerson helped organize multiple health fairs in Watts California, and well as created infographics for community-based health organizations. Ms. Dickerson earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Anthropology from the University of California Berkeley, where she volunteered at many Bay Area high schools, leading health based classes.
