Emily Escobar

Community Health Worker

As a Community Health Worker at COPE Health Solutions, Emily Escobar is dedicated to advancing community health through comprehensive service and advocacy. In this role, she connects individuals with vital health services, supports health initiatives, and advocates for the community’s needs.

Ms. Escobar gained valuable experience during an internship with Miora, where she contributed to community health improvement through a multifaceted approach that included scientific research, community outreach, and policy initiatives. She conducted quantitative research, developed posters, created Institutional Review Board (IRB) documents, and wrote manuscripts to effectively communicate research findings.

During her academic career, she was an active member of the Student Health Advisory Committee (SHAC). In this role, she focused on educating students about health and wellness, advocating for policies to improve student health, and collaborating with campus stakeholders. She organized impactful events, developed engaging presentations, and used social media to foster awareness about key health topics.

Ms. Escobar earned a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health from California State University, Los Angeles, graduating magna cum laude. Her passion for public health began during her time as a COPE Health Scholar, where she was first introduced to the field and inspired to pursue a career dedicated to improving community well-being.
