Judith Bwinika
Community Health Worker
Judith Bwinika joined COPE Health Solutions in September 2024 as a Community Health Worker, responsible for helping patients and their families to navigate and access community services and other resources to adopt healthy behaviors.
Ms. Bwinika supports providers and case managers through an integrated approach to care management and community outreach. In addition, she provides social support and informal counseling, advocates for individuals and community health needs with a priority to promote, maintain, and improve the health of patients and their family.
Prior to joining COPE Health Solutions, Ms. Bwinika worked as an intern at A Vision of Health where she worked closely with healthcare providers to help recruit participants to be enrolled in the program to prevent type II diabetes. She helped to analyze data and did food log analysis which aided the organization’s research efforts in tailoring outreach resources to help the participants enrolled in achieving their goals. Ms. Bwinika also worked in retail for six years through which she developed a diverse set of skills. While working in a fast-paced environment she developed adaptability, flexibility, time-management, problem solving, cultural competency and sensitivity skills to ensure respectful service and high customer satisfaction outcomes to diverse populations.
Ms. Bwinika earned her Bachelor of science in Public Health degree from California State University, Los Angeles. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in public health to expand her knowledge and skills to make a positive impact on community health and well-being.
