Malak Khalil
Community Health Worker
Malak Khalil is a Community Health Worker at COPE Health Solutions. In this role, she supports members in navigating the health care system by providing culturally responsive education, care coordination, and connections to community-based resources. Ms. Khalil works to reduce barriers to care, promote health literacy, and improve access to services for underserved populations. She is committed to fostering trusting relationships with members and empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their health.
Originally from Egypt, Ms. Khalil brings a culturally informed and community-centered perspective to her work. As an immigrant who has navigated the complexities of the U.S. health care system, she understands the challenges many families face when accessing services. This lived experience strengthens her ability to connect with diverse populations and advocate for equitable access to care. Prior to joining COPE Health Solutions, Ms. Khalil gained experience in-patient admissions, medical reception, care coordination, and clinical support within fast-paced health care settings. She managed patient intake, scheduling, insurance verification, and electronic documentation while maintaining strict confidentiality standards and supporting seamless patient experiences.
Ms. Khalil earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Health from California State University, Fullerton, graduating with a 3.9 GPA. She also holds an Associate of Science in Biology from Glendale Community College, where she graduated with honors. Her academic training includes public health research, data analysis, program planning and evaluation, and health policy foundations. In addition, she has participated in community service initiatives both in the United States and abroad, including health education efforts supporting women and underserved populations in Egypt.
