Clint Henry, PhD, MHA, serves as a Value-Based Care Sales SME at COPE Health Solutions, where he leads consulting and sales engagements focused on supporting Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) participating in the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) and Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) pursuing value-based care strategies. He works closely with provider organizations to optimize their participation in risk-bearing models, advising on governance, compliance, financial sustainability, and performance improvement. He also supports COPE Health Solutions’ sales efforts, helping clients assess and adopt advanced analytics, operational solutions, and advisory services that drive success in value-based payment arrangements.
Prior to joining COPE Health Solutions, Clint held senior leadership roles in value-based care, network development, and payer contracting across national health plans and provider organizations. As Director of Network Development at Clover Health Partners, he led national expansion strategies and secured risk-sharing agreements with top ACOs and payers across REACH, MSSP, and Commercial markets. Previously, he served as Provider Collaboration Director at Amerigroup (Elevance Health), where he led Medicaid and Medicare Advantage contracting and operationalized statewide value-based care initiatives. Earlier roles included Director of Value-Based Care Contracting at Bright Health, Senior Network Manager at Aetna, ACO Contract Manager at UnitedHealth Group, and Regional Project Manager of VBC Quality at UnityPoint Health.
Throughout his career, Clint has successfully negotiated and overseen complex value-based agreements, supported large-scale healthcare transformation initiatives, and driven strategic payer-provider partnerships. His expertise spans ACO development, risk-based contracting, AI-driven healthcare analytics, and regulatory compliance for Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial programs.
Clint holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Human Capital from Bellevue University, a Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) from Des Moines University-Osteopathic Medical Center, a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychology from Iowa State University, and an Associate of Arts (AA) in General Studies from Iowa Western Community College.
