Marella Umali

Marella Umali is an Assistant Vice President at COPE Health Solutions. Driven by a passion for healthcare and a commitment to excellence, she is an accomplished healthcare leader with deep operational experience ranging from pre-revenue startups to multibillion dollar health plans. Throughout her career, she successfully executed strategic cross-functional initiatives, managed post- acquisition transitions, built de novo member engagement and provider network operations and led diverse and talented teams.

Leveraging more than fifteen years of regional and national managed care experience, Marella will lead CHS Medical Group strategy and operations. Most recently, she served as the General Manager for the Arizona Market at Duo Health, where she launched new markets and strengthened provider partnerships. Previously she held leadership roles at Agilon Health, MemorialCare and L.A. Care overseeing Medi-Cal program expansion, Medi-Cal operations, member services, payer and provid-er relations, vendor management, project management and business process improvement.

Marella earned her B.S. from the University of Southern California and M.A. from the University of California, Irvine.
