Samantha Walimaki

Program Manager

Samantha Walimaki joined COPE Health Solutions in July 2024 as a Program Manager at Adventist Health Glendale in Los Angeles, CA.

In her role as Program Manager, Ms. Walimaki oversees daily operations, trains, and mentors Health Scholars, and is responsible for the growth and expansion of the Health Scholar Program. Serving as a vital link between Health Scholars and the client, her responsibilities include but are not limited to recruitment, training, leadership development, mentoring, as well as extending professional development opportunities to participants as they pursue their health care careers.

Prior to joining COPE Health Solutions, Ms. Walimaki worked in the non-profit sector to advance access of underserved populations to education and mental and behavioral health support systems. Most recently, Ms. Walimaki successfully implemented and managed an 8-million-dollar grant dedicated to increasing access to Behavioral Health services for youth and families in underserved areas of Ventura County. Ms. Walimaki earned an MA in Clinical Psychology and specialization in Community Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles and completed a year-long clinical rotation as a therapist trainee. Her background in the non-profit sector as well as consulting for government organizations, NGOs, and non-profits has nurtured her passion for advocating to increase community-level access to resources such as mental health, physical health services, and other vital support systems. Ms. Walimaki is looking forward to making lasting contributions at COPE Health Solutions and advancing her career in program management as well as health education, advocacy and delivery.
