Samura Cummings

Samura Cummings is the People Experience Generalist at COPE Health Solutions. She joins the organization with over 10 years of human resources experience. Her extensive background includes the full spectrum of HR functions, encompassing the 360-recruitment cycle, training and development, benefits administration, compensation, payroll, compliance, and policy management.

As the People Experience Generalist, Ms. Cummings plays a pivotal role in driving strategic HR initiatives, recruitment and onboarding of new employees. She is also responsible for managing employees’ ongoing compliance training and development programs, as well as office management and administrative tasks.

Ms. Cummings is passionate about creating a positive employee experience and ensuring new employees have the initial tools they need to be successful in their role.

Prior to working at COPE Health Solutions, Ms. Cummings assumed human resources roles in the engineering, real estate, business consulting, and retail sales industries. In her previous roles, she collaborated across departments to develop and manage various HR initiatives such as talent acquisition, onboarding, benefits administration, career development, employment law compliance, performance management, recognition programs, and employee engagement.

Ms. Cummings earned her Bachelor of Science in Applied Studies (Business Administration) with a minor in Communications from California State University Dominguez Hills. She is an active member of the Society of Human Resources and is currently pursuing her SHRM-SCP certification to further enrich her professional credentials.
