Erica Gomez

Erica Y. Gomez joined COPE Health Solutions in November 2023 and is currently the Program Manager at Kaiser Permanente Riverside. As a Program Manager, Ms. Gomez oversees the day-to-day operations of the Health Scholar, Care Navigator, and KGI Masters Thesis programs. Being a vital link between our program participants, client, and the smooth operations of our programs, she has many responsibilities which include but are not limited to recruitment, training, leadership development, mentoring, as well as extending professional development opportunities to participants as they pursue their health care careers.

Prior to becoming a Program Manager, Ms. Gomez worked for Prospect Medical Group in both the Outpatient Case Management Department as well as Quality Performance Department. Ms. Gomez played a critical role in connecting patients to their health care services as well as educating many private practices on Medicare Star ratings and HEDIS Quality measures. In both roles, she ensured preventative measures and exams were being completed by patients to ensure a healthier population as well as assisting practices with their outreach and  compliance rates. Ms. Gomez has a deep passion for community outreach and closing the gaps in care.

Ms. Gomez holds a Bachelors in Science in Public Health from California State University Los Angeles. During her undergraduate years, she participated in the COPE Health Scholar Program, previously known as the Clinical Care Extender Program, as well as interned at St. Jude under the Community Initiatives Department to outreach to various cities in Orange County with high obesity rates. She also holds a Masters in Science in Healthcare Management with a focus in compliance from Michigan State University.
